Defiance & Rebellion:
The life of a vampire is a life of defiance and rebellion. A vampire is not bound by the same things you and I are bound by, they are not bound by gravity, they are not bound by life and death, they do not age or suffer the effects of aging. Once a human is (bitten) or turned their eyes are opened and they no longer have the worry of dying, they are no longer bound by earthly things. They become like as gods who are supernatural.
Gen 3:1-5
3 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
Suicide:
This movie portrays the vampire as a god that can be a protector, someone who can supernaturally show up in a vision to direct or guide you out of a bad situation. It is easy then to take on a careless lifestyle in order to have this protector come around. (Bella) has no problem with giving up her very own life simply because she cannot have what she wants.
Both characters were willing to give up their life for each other….commit suicide!
Edward attempts to end his life due to the fact that he believes Bella is dead. But the Volturi (vampire royalty) will not kill him because his “gifts” are too valuable.
Bella portrayed every one of these signs…..
Pay attention to these teen suicide warning signs:
Suicide threats, direct and indirect
Teen depression
Obsession with death
Poems, essays and drawings that refer to death
Dramatic change in personality or appearance
Irrational, bizarre behavior
Overwhelming sense of guilt, shame or reflection
Changed eating or sleeping patterns
Severe drop in school performance
Giving away belongings
In 2001 teenage suicide was the 11th leading cause of death, in 2004 it was the 8th leading cause, in 2008 it is the 3rd leading cause of death in teenagers.
Rom 13:1
13 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
Bella makes statements that she doesn’t even care about her own soul, her soul doesn’t matter if she didn’t completely belong to Edward.
Matt 16:26
26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
Gen 2:7
7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
Our soul was given to us by God, it is not ours to just throw away or give away due to some lust or obsession.
Obsession:
Bella is obsessed with her own looks, she is deathly afraid of aging. Her obsession with him leads her into a life of depression where she screams at night and becomes despondent for several months. Bella changes her behavior in order to have another “visitation” by Edward. She attempts to “conjure” up Edwards spirit.
Bella’s obsession leads her to try and give her life for a life that is supposed to be immortal.
Bellas obsession with Edward leads her into a life of depression. She don’t want to live if she has to live without him, what kind of statement is that? It’s that kind of statement and belief that cause young people to think that you can’t live without this guy or this girl and you begin to contemplate suicide and self destructive behavior and thoughts. Every destructive thought has a spirit attached to it, remember, we all have an enemy that is trying to destroy our mind, body and soul!
1 John 2:16
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
“Love conquers all”
The belief by these two characters in this film that love between a girl and a boy can defeat anything is a complete lie. The only love that is eternal is the love of our Heavenly Father, the love of Jesus Christ is the only true “saving” love.
Edward’s protection and guidance:
In the movie Edward keeps “appearing” when Bella is in danger...telling her “Don’t do that...it’s dangerous.” She keeps doing dangerous things just for him to “visit” her in a vision. She has to “conjure” him up. Witches when they would call upon the spirits they “conjure” them up, “conjure” up a potion or spell to get ahold of the spirit world. Thank you Jesus we don’t have to “conjure” You up for you to be near us!
Ps 23
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Lies:
Edwards guidance in an instance is to lie, her obsession with him leads her into a life threatening situation and he advises her to lie in order to save herself.

2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
Violence:
Violence between a supernatural being and a reincarnated being over a human being.
The violence of killing innocent women and children for their blood, and having other supernatural beings ripped apart by their own kind and burned with fire.
Prov 28:17
17 A man that doeth violence to the blood of any person shall flee to the pit; let no man stay him.
God is the creator of life, God giveth and God taketh away.
Sexual Desires:
Pre-marital sexual advances are a common theme throughout the movie. In a desire to be changed, bella offers herself to Edward.
Christian websites are trying to portray Edward as a type of good moral example by having him resist the temptation of pre-marital sex. But they do not say anything about his desires, physical touching , and staying with her all night in her bedroom while she sleeps, or his continual battle against his desire to obey his thirst of her blood.
The purpose of this research and study is to reveal the truth behind the book and movie series Twilight. Even though some religious groups will try and use it for “life lessons”, the real message of this series is evil, darkness, witchcraft, perversion, suicide, death, and the promotion and celebration of evil spirits and demons. This is not just a love story; this is a sign of the spiritual decay that our society is walking into. We wonder why young people go through depression, obsession, and suicidal tendencies; it’s the message of Hollywood that plants those seeds in their minds. God warned us in his word of these very things, it’s time we take heed to the word of God. Let’s stand for what is right, what is Holy, what is Pure, and what is Godly!
